T&T Logistics
1.
In a nutshell, what is your company all about?
T&T Logistics specializes in courier, hot shot and over the road services (LTL and truckload).
The company, which originally began operations in 2005 as Ace Logistics, also operates Schnell Express. In November,
2010 a change in ownership resulted in the name changing to T&T Logistics. Over the last couple of years the company's
business has evolved from small package movements in cars and vans to larger shipments requiring straight trucks and 18 wheelers
(dry van and flatbed). T&T Logistics is the company's courier operation. Schnell Express handles the LTL and
18 wheeler movements.
2. What
is your position in the company, what do you do?
I have been an account executive with the company since June, 2009. My responsibility is to
maintain and grow our customer base. My 20 plus years of experience in the industry have served me well in this capacity.
3. What makes your company different from
other companies in your industry?
Due
to our company's size, and 50 years of combined experience in the industry, we are able to develop customized solutions
to meet customer needs on very short notice. T&T has developed strategic partnerships within the industry.
This has allowed T&T to build value by offering solutions that result in a one stop shop for our customers. T&T
is also unique in that our office staff can be called to make a pick-up or delivery to eliminate service failures.
In fact, our president (Tony Schneller) is a class A CDL driver. He has been called on many occasions to take a load
when needed.
4. What
was your company's most recent greatest accomplishment?
Celebrating our one-year anniversary (November 29, 2011) as T&T Logistics! This was quite
an accomplishment in this economic climate. We are also proud to have attained our IAC (Indirect Air Carrier) certification.
5. What is the biggest challenge you face in
your industry?
Technology
has lessened the demand for courier services (document transfer). As a result our company has diversified and placed
more of an emphasis on LTL and flatbed movements. Fuel costs continue to be a challenge as well as the inconsistency
in freight volumes.
6. Why
are you a Traffic Club Member?
I
believe networking and building partnerships is critical in this business climate. The Traffic Club is a great way to
engage freight professionals and to get involved. One of my goals as a member is to bring more of an international component
to the club. As the global economy continues to evolve it is critical companies are able to stay abreast of global trends
and opportunities. I would like to see the Traffic Club become a resource in global trade, much like the World Trade
Club once spearheaded when it was in existence.
